3D CALIBRATION
|
The
word
'calibration' is
a rouse. When you
see 3D (to any degree) in
Virtual Stereo images, you know
the 3D is genuine. For instance a poor
grainy old low resolution photo of the Oxford
observatory in England, a volcano somewhere on Earth,
a tornado published in a daily newspaper, a street scene with
a dog wagging its tail in East Ottawa, all images have genuine 3D,
the dog's tail is behind the dog not in the trees, the tornado
winds through a long coil, the volcano spews ash and
smoke both vertically in big billows and
horizontally in 'smokers'. The
Virtual 3D each from a
mono photo, is
genuine

enhancements reveal different salient
3D details in the same photo, a good demonstration
that Virtual Stereo works - a poor quality original - in
Virtual Stereo positive elements re-enforce causing
better picture quality, finer definition

LONG ROPE TORNADO COILS FOR MILES ABOVE A SHORELINE
The
newspaper
page was lying
open on the living room
floor and got accidentally walked
on before it got scanned, which accounts
for the knobby look to the picture

PHYSICAL STEREO VRS VIRTUAL
A physical
stereoscopic
3D two-piece picture
is now shown next, taken by
a multi-lensed 'American 3D Camera'.
Foreground stereo is particularly noticable
but long distance is not fantastic. Following are
two more, each a single frame presented in Virtual 3D.
You will notice at once the long distance in Virtual 3D is
on par with the genuine original, but foreground falls
short of meeting full stereoscopics
